The term Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive despite regular and unprotected intercourse for 2 years. Couples should be aware that 80% will conceive within a year and 90% within two years if they do not use contraception and have regular intercourse. Although infertility by itself may not threaten physical health, it does have a serious impact on the mental and social well being of affected couples.
Infertility is classified into two types
1. Primary Infertility :- No previous pregnancy
2. Secondary Infertility :- History of previous pregnancy (whatever the outcome)
Infertility may be due to the problem in the male or female or in both the partners or even unexplained. Proportion of factors causing infertility.

Male Infertility factors are suspected of contributing to infertility in almost 40% of infertile couples.
Female Infertility factor as suspected of contributing to infertility in all most 40%of infertile couples.
